For the best part of the previous 10 years Liverpool fans had been all around europe without trouble, however when they went to Rome in Italy a lot of Liverpool fans were stabbed and beaten, given little to no protection from the Italian police. Now who would of thought that the next time Liverpool faced an Italian team that trouble might of flared, in a ground that wasn't fit to grace the final let alone a 3rd division game.
Well isn't that incredible, those that were causing trouble went to prison and the other 35000 Liverpool supporters got off because they couldn't be identified in ID parades. It must be like a rapists family not being held resposible for his crimes.
And to quote myself "not every Liverpool fan charged and no, not every fan involved in european football violence in the 80's was from Liverpool."
