Peanut Features 562up) and far from it in my case, however i am totally realistic about LFC which means, YES, we have a great chance to challenge for...
poor about player
when did he last have a cracking game? His pbutting whether long, short, quick, slow or otherwise has been really suspect for ages and not consisent enough. It's these "details" that rafa is reffering to when he's saying that "the small details" are costing us games. Yeah I think there's more to come from Alonso and I really hope he gets his act together and stays at Anfield for years, being one of the keystones to us, for eg, finally winning "a premiership" (or whatever) but ATM he's far from his best. Yeah, he set up Kuyt's bar crasher (more down to the good positioning of DK than Alonso's play) and generally did his job vs chelsea but I feel he is one of the main players that is underperforming.
He took a knock at the beginning of the season iirc, that may have set him back a little as the new season, I feel, takes 3-4 games to bed in the players, moreso if you're injured-suspended etc.
It's not like i'm on his case (or want him out) just what i observe to be part of what is going on with our squad. As Rafa said the performance vs chelsea was good in general, pundits agree citing us as unlucky to get nothing out of the game and i agree, i thought we played well. Just that the result was not good or in the fairest of worlds, right. Lets hope we've made that small change and that we're beginning to click as a team and take 3 points on weds.
same for morientes but rafa still shelled him out because he was not delivering, what with interest from spain (real madrid) it's possible he may move home if he feels overall his game is not suited entirely to the premiership. as we know and as i'm saying this is merely a possibility. --
