Of course - let it be known that people who think cannabis is totally harmless are fools. It is carcinogenic when smoked (not when vaporized or eaten though), and the very latest, although shaky evidence is that in an *extremely* small percentage of the population, it *could* precipitate mental health issues. No more so, and certainly less than other things - like marriage breakdown, loss of employment and ALCOHOL, but there is a small few who do get mental health issues with cannabis - I know of someone, one person in hundreds I've known over the years, who did get schizophrenia - although he used booze, magic mushrooms, caffeine, nicotine etc *before* he smoked - so even in his case, I remain unconvinced it actually *was* cannabis that caused it. Although I do suspect it is true that a tiny percentage of people will experience mental health issues. To base a prohibition law on it though would be deeply unfair to the *vast* majority who don't get mental health issues. We need to decriminalize it (*NOT* legalise it, then it would be taxed and more expensive), do more research, and if and when we find a positive link - warn people of the dangers properly and allow them to make an informed choice.
