yes, the result and performance vs Bayer have bolstered, maybe even blinkered my outlook. However you can only take heart in that performance and hope we eventually gain some kind of consistency, playing to our full potential.

I thought Garcia played really well last night and he appears to have gotten over his lightweights approach to the game getting stuck in freely. He is a very important player in the scheme of things AFAIAC and the result is all the sweeter for his goals and general play.

In conclusion, it's something of a mixed bag, we're infuriatingly inconsistent but at our best can menace the bigger hitters and take away a result, this is what is reasonably comforting as far as the CL goes, anything can happen and probably will, I'm not saying it will ALL be good however and I agree we're not the favourites(far from it) to win the CL but we're in it so I would imagine we'll all back the team 100% all the way and not harp on about the managers comments. Only ManU have outplayed us(home and away) imo, Chelski were lucky at Anfield. --
