Rate the players

Hi,

Time to pick over the team...

Reina : Gifted them their second goal, could do nothing about the third and saved our arses at the end of the match before the heroics of penalties. Not a bad game, 6-10

Finnan : Played the whole lot. Okay, had a crappy first 30 minutes, but worked hard down the right and as soon as we drew one back, really did take charge down that side. Distribution was a bit dodgy sometimes. 6-10

Carragher : Other than that god-awful own goal, had a corker of a game. Solid to the last. 6-10

Hyypia : Not sure. He was looking tired after 35 minutes. Needs to learn how to take a pen! 4-10

Riise : Another first rate match (after 30 mins). Unlucky when he just missed in extra time. 7-10

Gerrard : 2nd goal was good. Third goal was so good that my dog shot out of the living room and hid as I screamed that much! 9-10

Alonso : He was sat on by Reo Coker (I think it was) for most of the time he was on the pitch, so wasn't that effectual. I have a feeling he really shouldn't have been put on the field. 5-10

Sissoko : Given the scare earlier in the season, Momo reall was good today. Distribution was okay, and had some fun and games when everyone else was falling over through cramp! 6-10

Kewell : Not his best showing this season. 4-10

Cisse : Largely crap. Sure his goal was good, but given the quality of the cross, even Traore couldn't screw that one up! His boots in the second half were a mistake - they were causing him all sorts of problems. 4-10

Crouch : Lanky piece of crap. He caused a couple of problems and was unlucky when his goal was judged off-side, but really was useless. 4-10

Kromkamp : Played really well. He dominated when he played and showed that he was ready for a full time position in the squad, not just as a bench warmer. 6-10

Morientes : Like Cisse in the semis, are we sure he actually was playing for us and not just making the numbers up on the bus to get a discount. Bloody useless. 3-10

Hamann : Looked good, though a tad slow. 5-10

This really does highlight our problem. We have f*** all up front. Garcia, had he not been suspended would have been useful today as he can find the net. Thank goodness GOD is not going to be cup tied next campaign - we really needed him on the pitch today.

Our midfield is solid - as long as Traore is being nailed to somewhere so he can't get onto the field.

Defence is solid as well. Hyypis is a cause for concern as he is starting to show his age.

We have bugger all up front who can be consistant in any good way. It says a lot when our midfield is scoring more than our attack!

If it was up to me, I'd dump Morientes, Crouch and Cisse like a bag of crap which is on fire.
