EVERTON player Tim Cahill was caught up in an altercation with rival Liverpool supporters which ended with a bottle or glbutt allegedly being thrown in a crowded city centre bar.

According to an onlooker, Cahill became involved in a row with the fans shortly after he entered the bar.
He decided to leave before the situation escalated, but on his way out it is believed a bottle or glbutt was hurled in his direction, which fortunately did not hit anyone.
Newz bar owner Paul Flanagan said: "It was a bit of a storm in a teacup. The police weren't called."
