Just to rub salt in the woundTBH mate I really don't care either way about Everton. I don't gloat over them when they lose and was happy enough to say well done last season when...
But on the plus side (if you can call it that after that non performance) we have now taken points of teams we lost to last season. 3 points better off against Boro, United and Brum. Those same 3 points would have put us above the bitters last season..............
That said we should have beaten Boro, United and Brum. We are moving in the right direction and Rome wasn't built in a day. But why are we not going for teams? We had these kind of tactics - though unsuccesful - under Houllier.
We should play 4-5-1 against teams that are better than us, either in Europe or the Premiership. Not against teams like Brum who, will all due respect aren't on paper as good as us.
Still not convinced that Crouch is a good signing for us. Yes his touch is better than many thought, but I still don't see jim scoring many goals. Same with Cisse. Want him to do well, but I can't in all honesty window. Rafa just doesn't fancy him as a striker or Liverpool player.
Just a quick word on the overall performance - Alsonso won't play that bad again for a while. And another average performance from Gerrard. IMHO I think we should have taken the near £40 million for him. I might be baised as my opinion of him, both as a player and a man has gone down. We badly missed Sissoko today - Hamman looked slow and off the pace today. Warnock looked shaky after the OG. And Reina needs to start commanding his box at set peices.
Just my opinionJust my opinion. It is quite obvious, bearing in mind the flawed nature of humanity, that all sorts of malignancies will exercise what pbuttes for a brain by spewing out paranoid tripe aimed...
Other than that, I think that second place is still there for the taking. BUt we need to start going for teams rather than playing eith the fear of losing.
