era. a thinking about racism and the mention of bernard manning. when i used to work for a builder, i once did a job by bernard mannings pub. me and me boss once went for a quick drink in his pub. we pulled up outside locked the van up, when this kid no more than 8 years old came up and said "ere mr, i wouldnt leave your van like that around ere" we said "dont be silly its locked!" he said that wont make a difference" he then went on to say " i bet i can get in the back of ya van before you walk from these back doors to the front door"
we thought lets humour the kid and said " go on then" we got to the front door and this kid opened it from inside for us, we was a bit shocked to say the least. al he had to do was hit the the door right above the lock, a foed design fault on the early batches. what a nice area though aged 8 and capable of that! they probably have their own collection of 50 drug runners and 20 dealers by their 14th b'day!
