Lots of talk about Robbie, and its nice to see him back. His sale marked the start of my distrust of Hollyhoop and Thompson and I believe ultimately that mistrust was justified.

However, forget all the romance.

Rafa Benitez hasnt got a bit of romance in his soul re his job. Hes a hard man.

Yes, he has given us all the stuff about commitment to the club etc, but thats only relevent because he knows that put Fowler in a red shirt, in front of the Kop, and for the rest of this season adrenalin alone will raise him by 20 percent. And it may rub off too.

He will know Robbies current strenghths, weaknesses etc and will have made a calculated decision.

Cyncial POV on Fowler
I don't agree(with this quote) really but i can see where he's coming from as the times article i've read is basically saying that the board encouraged benitez to look at Fowler...

He will know that Robbie would have scored at OT last week when Cisse didnt...which is probably what broke the Camels back re Cisse anyway.

We aint got the 1996 version here, but a player whose mind and feet are as good as ever. Put him round the box, give him chances (and do we create chances)...you know the rest...

And he cost nowt

Good luck mate. Nice to see you back. Go get yourself some goals

For Pope...remember that old get McAllister...how we all moaned eh ;-)
