I was one of the few United fans civilised enough to come in here to offer my congratulations on your rather fortunate CL victory - which was appreciated by the *small* few decent fans amongst you all. However, the reaction amongst most here was not to celebrate your victory amongst yourselves. No, you seemed to garner more general chuffedness from trolling the United group, and rather prematurely toasting the dissolution of our club. You were far more chuffed with rubbing *our* noses in recent events THAN WINNING THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - and this speaks volumes on your fans in general. Some football fans eh?! I can't tell you what Man UTD winning the Champions League in 1999 meant to me....and the *vast* majority of United fans. Sure, I bet a few unfortunate Arsenal-Liverpool fans got some stick - but *NOT* the totally surreal, totally uncalled for, maniacal reaction that our newsgroup had to suffer after your win.
And for these reasons, I will be the first to laugh my bollocks off when Gerrard is sold off and you are again languishing in mid-table mediocrity, short of a Champions League qualifying position as usual, and the memory of your recent win is a fading memory.
Call it karma, call it divine justice...call it what you will. But I will be here to rub it in when the poo hits the fan - and I'm sure I won't be the only one. What goes around, comes around. Sure, look on the bright side! Tell me that SG is just one player and you will have thirty million to buy another.....but It's never as easy as just buying another player - look at the money we wasted after Beckham went!!! SG (with a little help from Lady Luck)*was* the difference for you. He *is* the difference between winning and losing, and you all *know* you would have been no way near that final were it not for him...let alone go on to win it. The loss will be just too much to bare.
So, I hope your unwelcome squatting of the a.s.s.m.u group was time well spent, even though you would have got a lot more from making the most of your win and being generally happy amongst yourselves, as opposed to the foul mouthed, pathetic, childish, petty arguing you waged on us. I hope you made the most of it! You're due it all back ten-fold!
look forward, not backa few lines on our new left winger..... (from the bbc) New Liverpool signing Mark Gonzalez turns 21 next week, and he has already made it...
"How can I leave after that?" - LOL!!! :)
