Agree. I think Pool certainly need an away goal even if losing. 0-0 would make Chelsea a shade odds on for the second game. They will probably score at Anfield and getting 2 against that defence isn't easy. The leagues top scorers could not manage even one last night. The idea that Chelsea are a "big step down from Juventus" might be comforting but it is also nonsense. Are Pool a big step up from Barcelona? This stuff keeps alive the myth that the good , pretty pbutting, top Euro sides are superior to the best Prem teams. Not so! I think both sides will look upon this game as being their stiffest so far which, if true, puts into perspective the true position of our clubs.

If Liverpool get through this tie they will have done so against a side which has been outstanding, and likely winners of the hardest to win league in Europe and doing it by a greater margin than any other Euro side. The fact that they would still be 4 points clear of Arsenal compared with that teams amazing unbeaten run last season says it all. Rather than downgrade these opponents a Liverpool team in the final should realistically feel that they now have nothing to fear.. Isn't that closer to the truth?
