As has previously been said on here Simon, any thread you get involved in goes round and round for ages and ages, and the reason for it is because you never ever grasp the point of what people are saying.
The point here is that it was a Liverpool 'supporter' who come out with all that poo about 'letting the entire nation down' and poo about hanging heads in shame' and it was of course Liverpool 'supporters' who at a European match in Heysel did things that did let the nation down and cause shame.
My point is that it's ok to wind up another team's supporters after a defeat, however Liverpool supporters in particular shouldn't really be using phrases like that, particularly after a European tie. It shows a complete lack of respect for the dead of Heysel in my opinion.
Bernie The Bolt - 'In those days players weren't as highly paid as now, so most of us had part time jobs. Jimmy Case was a bouncer at the She Club, Tommy Smith used to open supermarkets as a Charles Bronson look-alike and Everton's Alan Ball and I were the voices of Pinky & Perky on TV.'
