he has handled himself well, considering the poo he took from so called england fans not to mention the press.

Moog agreed again. something like that, carew is a bit of a monster though, from several POV. but way more physical than crouch. that's quite harsh imo, garcia has...

good on the lad, it bothers me though in a way, rafa has a reputation for not being up to much in the transfer market, he has an idea of how he wants the team to play, presumably crouch fits that criteria. all i ever said re crouch(amongst the dissenting voices and PMSL's) was "lets see how he does - give him a chance" it's been a step up for him and so far he's held his own, despite missing a few sitters and spurning plenty of good chances. i cant' say rafa has been awful in the player market but there are a couple of duds he's had to return as non functioning, although it could be argued he was kind of hamstrung with nunez and pellegrino cost nothing and was only ever going to be cover. Josemi? was only ever going to be cover for finnan but we could have better cover. as things are i don't think rafa is ging to mess about too much with a very tight(in every sense of the word) defence.

yes the NG reaction, an evertonian i worked with told me he was prepared for the worst- ie relegation. somewhat kneejerk, it amazes me how fickle or short-sighted even long term fans can be.
