And by "terrible" I mean the fact we lost both Riise and Carragher within the first 33 minutes. That Riise injury did not look good. f***!
Other than that, a typical first game. Sheffield United is running riot at times, and have the team parked high up on the field. We seem stressed out by it, and can't get our pbutting together at all for most of the half.
We are creating the chances, though. Had Fowler been a bit sharper things might have looked differently, though the partnership between him and Bellamy looks promising.
Sheff Utd 11 Liverpool 359A point might turn out to be a reasonable result and it is too easy to discount the opposition because of where they...
However, too much distance between midfield and attack. You can see that the forwards are making initiatives and running, but problem is that the pbutt needs to be 110% for it to reach them - and when it isn't, like happens most of the time, our midfield is too far behind to win the second ball.
Zenden and Kromkamp is having a stinker, me thinks. Zenden is NOT made for midfield, which he has shown again today. Always looking for a backpbutt towards our defenders, instead of trying to find either Gerrard or Sissoko.
Not a good half, but we can still do it. Sheffield hasn't been dangerous inside the box, even though they are dominating possession at times (for some reason).
