I thought I'd better do you mancs a friendly service, in case Norma's deep rooted sense of denial does you a dis-service and sets you up for major disappointment....
You can thank me later.
Dark days indeed at OT....
United, having had their best run of the season are still a whopping 9 points off the championship leaders in December, which after Chelsea's win at Arsenal effectively ends the race for first place. Fans have started celebrating smaller point differences for the time between the staggered kick offs, such is the level of desperation around the club these days. With the inspirational captain sold, and the long in the tooth manager questioned weekly about when he is leaving, it is only a long period of rebuilding ahead for this team to stop the continuation of missing out on major trophies, and falling further behind the standard bearers Liverpool's trophy haul. Consistently finishing out of the top 2 in the premiership, trophy free last year and now out of Europe before Christmas, one has to ask what the future holds? Well, reigning European Champions Liverpool now have a manager that in his first season has matched our European return for over 35 years. Now he has settled into the UK, his team are going from strength to strength and but for a trip aboard would be above Utd in the league. Arsenal now consistently finish above Utd in the league, so Utd must now be known as the 4th best team in the premiership. But Bolton do look good.... Ferguson, though a trier, will never now reach the Paisley trophy to year ratio, and is clearly incapable of delivering the greatest club prize again after his fluke in 99. The squad, now devoid of the players that won trophies now contains average strikers playing in midfield, showponies and mercenaries. A huge clearout is clearly required.
So, but for Liverpool's trip to Japan, Utd would be third this Christmas, a position now all to familair, but one that come the end of the season, may be a godsend.
Keep Fergie, continue the nightmare.
You know it makes sense.
