The question about Kuyt is

i dunno, just (on a scale of 1-10) how poor did he look?

how "well" did Holland do?

wouldn't have thought so, most players raise their game though some do freeze on the bigger stages.

YEAH, now we're getting somewhere. did he, for eg, get much service? dutch scord 3 goals in group stages and then went out to portugal, lost 1-0.

Serbia & Montenegro 0-1 Holland , kuyt on for RvN after 70 mins.

Holland 0-0 Argentina, kuyt and rvn start in something of a nothing game (kuyt got booked!)... ;-(

Portugal 1-0 Holland, kuyt starts, this was the game when 4 players were sent off, i remember seeing the last 10-15 mins........

another question then, just how poor can you be in 2 and a bit games? I suppose the point is he made no real impact on the games he featured in (unless there's an buttist or two amongst all that bbc analysis and bullpoo), which you could not really say of crouch, by contrast, who is doing well for LFC and is pretty much phenomenal for your beloved england with 8 in 12 iirc.
