And by the way, why no answer to this one from earlier...
Now then, what about this for a world gone mad... A muslim girl a couple of months ago wanted to wear her burka at school, and was told she couldn't. Like when I was at school, there is a uniform, so tough titties, it's the same for everyone. She appealed, and the school and parents voted to uphold this. End of it? No.. she still wasn't happy, and took it to the court of human rights. She won. Now then, my point is this - we live in a country where a minority of *one* can overturn the wishes of of everyone else. Right or wrong? I hope she appreciates this fact, the country she lives in allowed this to happen, and the privileges she has. If you or I chose to live in a muslim country, do you think we'd be as successful overturning their customs? Say I tipped up in Saudi and said, you know, I don't like your alcohol laws, I am appealing - how far would I get? Or if a woman in Afghanistan under Taliban rule said f*** this wearing robes and being treated like poo malarky. She's have been stoned. And yet, everyone wants to get on Bush and Blair's backs and say how poo we are in the west. Why? What the f*** is wrong with this country. If you aren't too happy that the controls seem a little lapse for people coming into the UK (quotes from immigration staff saying this), you are branded a racist! wtf?! Makes you think doesn't it ?
