true, the balance is about to come when we play our 2nd home game of the 5 we have played so far. chelsea, for eg have played 3 home games, so have utd, so have Everton. there are doubtless endless myriad stats on all this but the truth is that it's too early to be writing off anyone and once the games played is into double figures things will balance out and the early form will show proper.

Some interesting POV here all the same. I advocate dropping one of our central MF's, Alonso,Gerrard or Sissoko, only to the bench, lets see the team with genuine width from Pennant and Gonzalez, Gerrard is too powerful a force to be played out of position continually, like wise Alonso has flourished when Gerrard has been absent. I see little need for Alonso and Sissoko in the middle when they are both basically the same type of player, certainly at home anyway, we should be able to cope without all that cover and be more adventurous. And I agree that we seem to be starting games floundering about as if the game will naturally gravitate towards us, we need to be more aggressive in our play from the off, with a much higher tempo. --
