You don't take the point. This Champions League thing is used to decide who's the best team in Europe. There's a group stage, and a knockout stage - in the same way that all European countries do NOT meet before the championship stage. Still, no one contests that the winner of the WC or EC is the best team in the world or Europe.

Let's say you have the best team from each league in such a league. How would you KNOW that the second best team in say Spain or England wouldn't be able to win the entire European League?

You wouldn't.

Bullpoo. Barca didn't make it. They played like idiots in defence at times, and teams that play like idiots in defence do not deserve to go through - even if they're attacking was magic.

What does that have to do with anything at all? The manager is always part of the team - a rather influential part, in fact.

Well that has put us back 10 years
That would be the free flowing counter attacking football that got wiped out by AC Milan and Bayern. In the round that Arsenal and Manchester United went out they scored a collective 2 goals...

I don't get your point. What if I say, "yes, Rafa's the better manager of the two"?

I'll ask you again: Are you saying that Greece were NOT the best country in Europe in 2004?

Ask Chelsea. Shouldn't the best team in England be able to beat the 5th best team in England over two games?
