Upsetting 1073I thought Gerrard was quite anonymous, and Xabi had a lot of stray pbuttes. Somehow the team didn't inspire me when I saw it. Crouch does not work upfront...
I think you're bloody opinionated and a bit silly to have such strong views on a match you didn't even see.
We weren't poor. We weren't fantastic, either, but we played more than good enough for the first half, and parts of the second - with exception for the finishing, which was, again, non-existant.
Upsetting 1071Fair enough. But re valid opinions of football, I think there are other things to say. Firstly...
There were plenty of guts, though, and Sissoko and the rest of our midfield (yes, even Kewell) fought damn hard to win every ball that came their way. You should be thankful you didn't put something like "pussies" in the subject field, because that's so far from the truth it makes a flight to Japan seem short.
I wish we had some decent strikers, though. The clbutt of Crespo & Co is quite apparent. They need one chance, and they take it. Like they did at Anfield last year. We, however, need plenty to score one, though we didn't create many clear cut chances today. Crouch is far too weak in matches like these, he's way too slow, uses his bloody hands too much in the air and really isn't the air master his height indicates he should be.
And playing Gerrard still seems like a waste, particularly when Alonso's pbutting breaks down, like it did at times today. Sissoko's distribution is, to put it mildly, lacking, which means we are suddenly forced to rely on Gerrard's pbutting from the right ... which isn't very useful if you want to control the midfield and have the overview needed to make the master pbutt.
Oh well. I'm starting to develop the same hate against those diving, cheating Chelsea cunts as I do against van Nistelrooy and the likes, which is a bit tiresome.
We'll beat them at some point in the CL, though, unless Barca beat us to it.
