For a start off, do you think buying a player is just like buying a car? ie the selling club won't release the player until the cheque clears? Are you that naive? Don't you know that many deals involve payments spread over a period of time, and I'm not just talking of extra payments for appearances etc.
Also do you think Rafa would have had the money to spend on players if his team hadn't been in the CL? The amount available would have been much much less and if extra income is going to come in, and if the team needs stengthening it's the Chairman's job to make that money available, and banks of course will hapilly lend if they know income is coming in and the loan can be serviced. FFS It's the basic rule of business ,you never use your money you use the banks, then when your money comes in you pay the bank.
