STEVEN GERRARD was quoted this week as saying he was sick of hearing about the so-called "Big Three" and their chances of winning the Premiership and never hearing Liverpool being referred to as potential challengers.
After watching yesterday's game against United, he certainly has a point. If they can win the league, then so can we.
Was that it? Mighty Man United? For all Benitez gets criticised for playing one up front, what did United contribute to the game? The usual dubious tackles and moans at the referee.
Their fans? The usual fare, too. When will the penny drop with the United fans that slagging Scousers for 90 minutes does not constitute "support" for your team?
The Liverpool fans reminded our visitors all afternoon about our new place in the pantheon of European football. The number five was referred to quite a bit. I think the point was made
Liverpool created the better chances and were more than a match for United in a game that became a stalemate.
The first half was even but in the second half Liverpool created more than United, who were happy to play for a draw and try and nick a goal. Ronaldo spends more time on the floor than a carpet fitter. Keane should have been sent off for two bookable offences.

We are not scoring many so far and amazingly some people are starting to question Benitez. Very strange.
The positives are we've not conceded a goal so far this season in the league.
We WILL win the league with Benitez.
