When has it ever served a Football team well to dismiss their opposition ? All it does is make your team complacent and the opposition more determined.
Yes, of course they can, but the FA decided that the extra Champions League place English teams earned a few years ago would go to the league.
Clearance SaleWe all remember earlier in the year when newspapers and web sites were saying Rafa would be clearing out a heap of players at...
Not true, they could give it to the FA Cup winners.
UEFA would prefer to see our League Cup scrapped and the Premiership reduced to 16 teams to reduce player tiredness and saturation of the market for top level Football. I can't say I completely disagree with them.
Taking the League Cup's UEFA Cup spot away would serve to render the competition utterly superflous to the the Premiership's teams, most of whom would field the weakest team possible just so they'd be eliminated, or treat it as a youth cup.
Perhaps all Premiership teams should be forced to only play players under the age of 23 in the league cup.
Taking legal action is not supposed to be "punished". We live in a supposedly free society.
That premise is flawed. The UEFA "law" that says that you can't sue UEFA is itself illegal.
Ask George Burley how coming back early can affect your team.
Well, Newcastle then were better than Liverpool are now, and they didn't qualify. What makes you so confident ?
