Did is obviously getting on but the absolute stupidity of selling Biscan must surely now be dawning on Benitez. Let's not forget that it took only one injury to Hamann in the 2001-2002 season to blow our chances of winning the title, when we did as well as we did last season, getting 80 points. Didi was missing for six games that winter and we had to rely on the comedy trio of Gerrard, Murphy and McAllister in midfield. Anybody who was at the Arsenal game just before Christmas that season will -- or should -- know what I'm talking about. If we had beaten Arsenal that day we would have finished with 83 points, and Arsenal just ahead on 84. With Hamann in the side all season we would have won the title without a shadow of a doubt.
