that's a fair review of events les. as far as the team performance on the day is concerned I agree that despite our pbutting being poor and the touch of baros when the ball flicked back off his heel(unlucky-poor control?) for example it was all we could do to keep chelsea out who chased the game in "style". Diving like a team of dolphins, i thought both cole, terry and drogba were a disgrace, they've certainly matched Porto for their hysterics which is something I had observed a while back.
midLent Temptationok, I will act like the devil today and give you all a tempting bet remember, I asked you to give up gambling for Lent some...
dunno about gerrards comment about defending the lead, I imagine his head was in bits anyway. I wouldn't mind if the equaliser was a decent goal as it turned out it was just a pigs ear of a goal, yeah I know THEY ALL COUNT.
So there is some small consolation in that we kept them at bay for so long,ok we were a bit lucky there but kept them out we did(via some great defending and goalkeeping) and were unlucky not to seal the game from a few decent chances in the meantime. I predicted extra time. And thought it was an epic and very engaging final. FWIW.
And the ref was poor, very poor imo.
