$1M0N No, I'm not. 20 seconds on google reveals:

"Even when the housing search process is the same, real estate brokers and lenders often treat a minority home buyer differently from others. A 1988 housing audit by the Urban Institute found that 59 percent of black home buyers and 56 percent of Hispanic home buyers encountered discrimination when searching for a home. In the audit, trained pairs of individualsÑone white, one minorityÑmatched according to every relevant factor (income, credit, etc.) except race, were sent to real estate agencies at close intervals to pose as home seekers. When the treatment of these individuals was compared, it was found that blacks and Hispanics were more likely than whites to be told no housing was available in their price range. They were also steered to different neighborhoods and were less likely to receive information or buttistance in completing the housing transaction."

It's not hard to other find studies with similar results.

wow a "poll" that confirms data. there has never been a flawed poll has there? so if i'm black and i go to my estate agents they wont show me properties for 100k...

I have NEVER, EVER been targetted for being white. If you can find ONE person from a racial minority that hasn't been the target of racial abuse, please tell me and I might concede that perhaps it's not as bad as I think.

Does that matter? It still wouldn't be nice to have these parties talking about you like that, nor to have them encouraging people.

you would you like to say that to them? we could all feel bad about alot of things if we went back...

I'm saying that handicapped people get a few advantages that we don't, such as parking spaces, to help and ease some of the problems they have as a result of being handicapped. Similarly, racial minorities have problems as a result of their colour, such as getting jobs, finding houses, etc, from people not unlike you, who think that we are all on a level playing field, when it's clear we're not. If you can honestly deny that you don't think this happens, then there is no point arguing with you... you would be too narrow minded to accept what is reality.

Rubbish. People advertise for under 18s all the time. They don't have to be paid as much, so it's quite common.

Anyway, are you going to put in a case against your local under 10 football league?

I'm sure it does, but these things are studied independently with few variables, and there is no doubt a bias.

It sure does, but I'm willing to bet my house that it happens more the other way around, which is why many employers have to be forced to fill a 'quota' of people. Minority groups do not fill their comparative share of jobs (comparative to qualifications and population) in the UK... can you explain why not?
