Continue to try and persuade others that they ought to be willing. Just as those that disagree will try the persuade me to change my mind. Pointless really as it is the undecided that are key as ever.
Personally I see it as more productive for everyone to dig in and help. The same way when someone is beaten up others help, they don't say f***'m it should be up to the attacked. Poor analogy bit I hope you see the point.

There are 60 odd million people in this country, (45m in England) and there are less than 1000 people that sleep rough - for an average of only a few nights until they get sorted out. People are relavtively poor, and others are too proud-scared-mentally ill or just unaware to ask for help - but help is there - no you will not get a new car-holiday-own home but you will get fed, housed and able to bath. That is not real poverty.
Sure (aside from Saddam) but we all benefited. Again I don't care who is to blame, if we are capable of helping then we should. We should also ensure people stop taking the piss in future.
