Before you go off and start saying I'm wanking off about the fact that UEFA have said we can keep this trophy, you may have realised that I did mention I was wondering which version of the trophy we would be acquiring, if we were to win it.
going off the current regulations then LFC would be receiving the fifth incarnation of the trophy going off my calculations. 1st Real Madrid (winners 9 times. and a different design of trophy.) 2nd. Ajax as winners 3 consecutive times between 71-73 3rd Munich as 3 times consecutive winners between 74-76 4th Milan 6 times winners, 63,69,89,90,94,03,
I did credit the fact that each of the above were eligible for the trophy in circulation at that time according to current UEFA regs but I didn't know which regs were valid at the time and was seeking clarification.
As for the one that you saw at the Nou Camp this year, that would have been a scaled down version, according to UEFA regs, it is restricted to being no more than 4-5 this of the original size, but obviously been a BS you would never have seen the real thing. And yes any club that has won the trophy can have one of these commissioned or 4 of them in Liverpool's case.
