David Trezeguet remains a major doubt to feature against Liverpool on Tuesday, while Pavel Nedved could prompt a change of tactics. Trezeguet returned from international duty with...

Bolton edged it throughout; we had very strange tactics - Gerrard didn't know where he was playing and it was the same for Garcia. We had no fluidity anywhere in the side, though Finnan & Carra played very well. Pellagrino - milk turns quicker than this guy, he looks so ponderous and uncomfortable when under pressure, the Bolton players also shouted for handball off him but will wait to see it on TV. He doesn't look anywhere near as good as Hyppia to me. Igor was woeful, was out of it from start to finish apart from his 2 yards out header - cult favourite he may be, but he just isn't up to it. Traore the same - 1 cross and a long legged challenge apart, he still looks like Bambi on ice - running to the byline to cross the ball then slipping, slicing it into the kop. Too unpredictable, gangly and a liability - persist with Warnock, far better prospect. Le Tallec - another non existant lightweight. Smicer - looked lively and I reckon worth another contract to see what he can do under Rafa. Welsh looked ok - a Danny Murphy style performance, nothing spectacular, but never looked capable of providing a match turning contribution. Carsson - couple of decent saves, looked a bit iffy on punches & kicks, but a clean sheet is great under the pressure Bolton put you under from set pieces. Nando - piece of skill when warming up at half time that showed his eye to ball co-ordination is sensational - give him service and he'll score!

All in all great 3 points masking odd tactics and a patchy performance from a threadbare squad....some of which must go in the summer.
