Morientes and crouch are useless. Period. Cisse on the other hand, did what he was called upon to do out right, and sent in several useful looking crosses which should have been better capitalised by our stumbling front men. I reckon fowler or even Cisse himself should have been at the end of some of those crosses he sent in.
Fowler did not see the ball much to be honest, and it's got nothing to do with his willingness or ability - he just did not get any service from his team-mates whatsoever with all the needless long balls pinging around, which brings me to your next point:-
I agree re long balls. What's up with incessant stream of long balls that 1. takes too long for our attacking players to bring down and control - by which time they do, the opportunities are lost 2. have lower rate of completion than short low pbuttes. 3. our strikers are so obviously finding difficult to deal with.
Sissoko was not in the team to attack, he was more to defend and IMO he did well enough in that department. However I thought at one point of the match, he must have decided to take matters in his own hands attacking wise seeing that the strikers weren't doing much good with their chances. It was quite funny to see Sissoko shooting really, if just as a mockery of our current striker crisis.
