Take a look at how these players performed in Germany, and what they achieved. Forget the manager for a minute. I know it's a nice copout in England to blame the manager and thus avoid having to address the real issues, but when it comes down to 11 against 11 on the pitch surely such enormous talent, if it exists, can easily overcome the inadequacies of the manager?
Nope. Don't buy it
England are out because even their best players don't have the basic footballing skills and temperament to cope at the highest level.
If you want a measure of this take a look at the German penalties yesterday. All powerful, accurate, confident penalties that no goalie could have stopped. This is a basic skill that can be taught, and measured. Time after time we have seen the so-called "best England players of their generation" fail this most basic of tests abysmally.

But it goes beyond just basic spot-kick skills. How often did England in the entire tournament put a pbutting move of more than 5 or 6 pbuttes together? Just to keep possession and relieve the pressure for example? There doesn't have to be a point to it. Just for the sake of conserving energy. But no -- they couldn't manage it. Simple moves broke down without any pressure from opponents. Simple pbuttes that should have reached their target weren't made.

Then you have that f***ing loafer Rio ferdinand. Again, supposed to be one of the best of his generation. We've heard a lot in the last few weeks in this very newsgroup about this being one of the the best defences in the world! Jesus are there actually people on this planet who believe this crap!? Ferdinand is a f***ing waster who coasts through games on the back of someone else's performances. He's supposed to be a ball-carrying centre back who can play his side out of trouble -- like Lucio -- but all he does when faced with a dilemma is hoof the ball sky high and hope another England player is on the end of it so he gets off the hook. Get real forfuxake lads!!

Go ahead and start your crusade against Ronaldo, Rooney and Eriksson if it makes you all feel better.
