I'll future. No the mix up is because of various things. Rover doesn't exist as such any more.

Second - Rover is used to refer to what is now (sort of) MG Rover.

There is nothing to be gained by reading "big books" unless you do so with an open mind and question...

Third - Refering To Land ROver is as Rover is incorrect.

To The Scummers
Well, to the ones that haven't been bawling their f***en eyes out recently which probably leaves NONE OF YOU LOL but to...

Fourth - Calling a Land rover a Rover, Is like calling a Audi a VW. 2 different manafacturers. Not that there is much difference though!

legendary Thats why they are used in some of the most remote places in the world, because they are so unreliable. A Land rover isn't about hand stitched leather seats and 17 cup holders. Its about pure 4x4 power. Which is undeniabily still the bench mark for all 4x4's. Range rover are the luxury 4x4's which ofer your hand stiched crap and excellent Build quality, whilst retain again arguably the best 4x4 performance. Sure a X5 or other similar vehicles might be slightly quicker and nicer to drive (only slightly nicer) but the Range rover has, does and most likely will be again the standard when it comes to the off road side.

You ask how I might know this? I have 3 uncles who own 4x4 specialist centres. What they don't know about 4x4 is usualy not worth knowing. They Do like the shoguns themselves.
