A total of 21 of Europe's finest players have been shortlisted for the UEFA Club Football Awards to be held in Monaco on Thursday - including 4 Liverpool players.

Jerzy Dudek, Sami Hyypia, Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard have all been nominated as the best player in their respective positions and are up against the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Alessandro Nesta, and Michael Ballack.

All 21 nominees across the four categories are in contention for the Most Valuable Player award, which will also be announced at the awards ceremony. That will take place at 16.00CET at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, and will be combined with the draw for the group stage of the Champions League.
