People who don't like the fizz of a Champagne, or any m=E9thode champenoise wine for that matter, simply don't buy it. They purchase a still, dry white instead.

Duh.

And for people who like chilled wines, they chill it. And if the weather is hot, they place the opened bottle back into the fridge, ice bucket, or porta-chiller. Or use a quick-stir swizzler or what-not.

TN: Lafon Macon at Nobu
David's 18th birthday last night (and his girlfriend's 17th), took them to Nobu (his request, he loves Asian food and especially Japanese- his grandmother is Japanese). I realize Nobu is no longer considered cutting edge...

So what if your product is made of stainless steel? I can tell you for a fact that acidic foods and liquids - wine included - do sometimes seem to interact with *any* metal. Perhaps it's a matter of conduction. Whatever the reason, there can in fact be a bit of a metallic flavor from placing acidic compounds in the presence of the metal. Why should anyone care to ruin a wine, let alone a good wine, by dropping your metal balls into their beverage?

Even real ice cubes would be better than that... Why not just blend up some ice into the wine and make your own wine cooler? Why not just drink Zima instead?

Good luck selling "your balls"...

David
