Good Wines for Cheap Under $20 Recommendations Thoughts

AFW FAQ draft
I have put your FAQs on a test web page to see how it might work. See The colors and placement of text can be...

My wife and I just recently returned from California. While visiting CA we had the opportunity to visit about a dozen wineries amongst CA's Central Coast. Before visiting I was an avid beer lover, but after my first winetasting I was hooked. Since the trip I've been trying to learn as much about wine as possible. And drink as many different types too.

Dale, I am sorry that you continue to question every post. I have told the truth and will no longer respond to any...

My one and only problem with wine is the cost. The basic formula of the more expensive the wine the better it is doesn't suit my needs. I know there are a lot of others who share this same predicament. I am hoping that those reading this post can recommend some great wines that won't break my wallet. I'm primarily looking for anything in the "Under $20" range.

I'm not biased towards anyone country, region, or type, as I'm trying to develop a feel for all wines. Recently I had the opportunity to drink the following:

1. (AUS) Yalumba Winery 'The Y Series' 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon $10.99 2. (CA, USA) Firestone Sauvignon Blanc 2005 $10.99 3. (CA, USA) Laebreastia 2004 Pinot Noir Arroyo Grande Valley $16 4. (NZ) Alpha Domus 2005 Chardonnay, Hawkes Bay $13.99 5. (AUS) Sheep's Back 2002 Old Vine Shiraz, Baroosa Valley $19.99

I thought all of these were great wines for a great value. Again, I'm hoping those reading this can recommend some more great wines at a great value.

Thanks,

- Dave
