More newbie adventures I dunno. Probably a "snob" thing... :-) OK, and maybe I'll make this a new thread...what is the difference between "reserve" and regular. I mean, if we live in a world where people in California market their sparkling wine as "champagene", "reserve" can't exactly be a term that really means anything, right? Unless there are some regulations that vary country by country... So, what really does reserve mean? Not trying to be an jerk...I've see in around, it costs more, but I've never tried it on any wine I've seen. I dont' want to fall into the "it's more expensive, so it must be better" trap. What's lower priced mean, in US$? The stuff I had was a yellow label, and it was in the $12 range. Well, with regard to the price point...I think that people hear about Australian wines, see the Yellow Tail all over the place, see the price, and think it's representative of all wines from australia. BTW, I notice that a lot of the stuff I see from South Africa is pretty reasonably priced. Is that because it just plain old is priced less, or are they trying to dump their stuff here, and raise the price later, or is it that we just don't see a lot of the SA stuff here yet...
