Rosemount Diamond Label Shiraz 2002 Salil Yeah this particular wine is normally pretty good value, here at least. Its made in a commercial style, usually with lots of sweet fruit and generally pretty easy drinking. In about the $AU12-$14 price range I think. The pinot is good too, though hardly representative of the variety. The merlot is ok. The sangiovese is supposed to be pretty good. The shiraz grenache not bad. The cab sav not too bad. The rosemount cab sav was the first red wine I ever had that was drinkable. So I will always remember it. In fact, for the price you should be paying for it, pretty much anything in the Rosemount Diamond Label range is good value. The chardonnay is usually pretty good too. Very good in fact usually. There is also an even lesser label, the jigsaw or split label, which is also great value for money. There are some notes here: https:--www.nicks.com.au-SearchResults.aspx?ProducerName=Rosemount%20Estate Rosemount make a lot of wines in a lot of different price brackets. So, Rosemount diamond label, great value, easy drinking, almost always a crowd pleaser, but its hardly going to win too many compebreastions. I think the diamond label is a great and cheap way to introduce ppl to wine, because its normally pretty safe that it will be easily drinkable.
