Sideways" is just about some wino faggots

Wine storage suggestion needed
While I have a custom-built cellar, several friends have Eurocave and Vinotheque units. Both are attractive furniture-level units, and none has had any problem...

Maybe that is why I do not listen to NPR on a regular basis. The movie is a " cute, little film," and does show a small bit about the CA-US Central Coast wine region, but little more. As I have not read the book, I cannot comment on how the two might differ. I also do not quite understand the term "faggots" in relation to the two "protagonists." If anything, I would think of them as hetero-headonists, one of whom really defines his life with wine.

The loveual persuasions of the two main characters in the movie, I am greatly surprised at the US motion-picture attending public's attraction to PN. I do rate it as one of the best varietals, but not to the exclusion of many others. I am dismayed that there are travel services offering Sideways tours!

Yes, the Central Coast, CA-US is a great wine area, and there are many basically undiscovered producers there, it is not the end-all, be-all of wine. I guess, that now that PN is in vogue, many accountants will insist that vineyards be planted in nothing BUT PN, regardless of where they are located. Maybe now Cab will come down in price!

While I didn't find any insights in the movie, relative to wine, I also did not find it as offensive as you seem to have, or maybe it was just the NPR interview with the author.
