WinesWineriesRestaurants in Slovenia I've asked questions like this before for trips my wife and I have taken to Europe and received some wonderful advice, so maybe some of you can help this time. We're leaving the US on September 22 for 14 days in Slovenia. We'll mostly be on a walking tour in the Julian Alps, but we're spending time in a few other cities-towns as well. I'm interested to learn if any of you have recommendations on favorite restaurants (and specialties) in any of these towns: Ljubljana Kranjska Gora Bled Bohinj Ribcev Laz Mlino Sezana Tolmin Kobarid Bovec Also, recommendations on Slovenian wines or wineries are appreciated. We tend to like full-bodied reds and lighter whites than "typical" California chardonnays. One red I've heard about that sounds interesting is Kraski Teran, particularly one called Teranton. We love little out-of-the-way restaurants and wineries. On previous trips to Italy and France, we've received some advance recommendations that really helped make our visits truly special. In return, I'd be happy to provide information to anyone who might be planning a visit to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, or Jackson Hole, Wyoming (which is where we live).
